Hi - I’m Ruby and I just adore design and lovely things. I’m so lucky that what I do - what I’ve always done since I was a little girl - is make pattern designs from lovely things.
I love to draw, and I love colour and pattern, and since I left art school I’ve been lucky enough to be making textile print designs for customers in the worldwide fashion industry, as well as furnishing fabrics, stationery and other surface design applications from time to time.
But there's a very serious technical side too
Over time, the technical demands of these various industries have evolved, and I’ve kept pace with that, producing fully colour-separated work in full seamless-tile technical repeat, so my work is as close to factory-ready as you can get
Styles come and go. Good design is a language, not a style.
Many of my customers are big names - really, really big names - and, surprisingly enough, they’re kinda shy! Most of this work is covered by scary confidentiality agreements and such, so I can’t tell you who these companies are - but I bet you can guess!
