Ever since my first visit to Oslo, the capital of Norway, when I saw the traditional painted furniture for sale in the main city square, I’ve been fascinated and inspired by the folk tradition of Nordic design - it’s just so very beautiful!
So I was delighted when Patternbank picked Nordic Nights as one of their trend stories for Autumn/Winter 21/22 - the themes, colours an atmospheres fit right in with some of my favourite ways of working to create lovely textile print artworks for fashion, interiors and giftware.
Nordic Nights - Autumn/Winter 21/22 Print Trend
Inspired by patterns of the Nordic Countries, this A/W 21/22 trend is a bold mix of folk styles. Bright pops of colour contrast with dark backgrounds for drama.
I was even more delighted when Patternbank chose two of my designs to showcase the trend story.
